The Effingham County School District is closely monitoring updates to COVID-19 information in order to safeguard the health of our students, employees, and community at large. Principals have been advised to promote precautionary measures among staff and students including, but not limited to, the importance of regular handwashing. Plans are underway to professionally disinfect all classrooms in each of our schools, and bathrooms are being checked to ensure each has an adequate supply of antibacterial soap. School nurses at each school site are maintaining vigilance over the health of students and staff and educating clinic visitors on the prevention of spreading germs.
