The first graders from Springfield Elementary spent a busy day at Honey Ridge Agricenter on September 18th. With the help of Ag students from Effingham County High School, the students learned about grain production, animal health and natural resources. The students planted vegetables in the garden, found their way through the corn maze, went on a hayride and petted the goats and sheep. STEAM students from South Effingham Middle School, along with teacher Mrs. Shelly Hobbs, talked with students about bee production and pollination. The day ended with each student picking out their pumpkin to take home.
