Coach Donald Chumley

   

 

 

Mustangs Coach Donald Chumley was honored on May 24th 2021 but the University of
Georgia Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. 

Coach Chumley is receiving the Post Graduate Achievement Award.  This honor is only bestowed on Former UGA Football players.

 

We are so honored to have such an outstanding football Coach at South Effingham High School.

Head Coach of Savannah Christian Raiders 2004 

  •     Athletic Director for Savannah Christian - 2011
  • State Championships runner up- 2009 and 2010
  • State Champion Title of Georgia - 2011
  • 5 region Championships, 4 sub-region championships
  • Coach of the Year- 2009, 2010, 2011
  • Region Athletic Director of the year- 2011
  • Atlanta Falcons Class A Coach of the Year - 2011
  • Savannah Quarterback Coach of the Year 2009, 2010 and 2011
  • As head Coach -118 wins, 34 losses and 1 tie

South Effingham Mustangs Defensive Coach 2019 to present.

 

Accomplishments:

  • Married to wife Angela Deloach Chumley for 31 years
  • Two children- Anna who graduated from UGA in 2020 and is in her 2nd year of law School at Emory
  •  Noah- sophomore at Georgia and a punter for the “Dawgs”
  • Over 40 students that play football throughout the country.
  • Recognized by Atlanta Journal as one of the “fastest to 100” in Georgia by winning 100 games in 10 years.
