    Fall Picture Day has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 25th.  This will be a Non- Uniform Day for students; however, they must adhere to the Effingham County Schools Dress Code per the Student Handbook.

  • career day  BES invites parents and community members to participate in our Career Day on Friday, October 27th.  Our theme this year is "Career on Wheels"and you may bring your vehicle as it relates to your career and put it on display.  Career on Wheels Day is from 7:30- 2:15 on October 27th and lunch is provided for presenters.  For more information or if you have any questions please call 826-4200 and ask to speak with Erin Watson, BES Guidance Counselor.

  • food drive

    During the week of October 23-27, WoodmenLife along with Effingham County Schools and Manna House Ministries will conduct a county wide food drive.  Our local Manna House provides food to over 800 families in our community every month.  Each school will collect canned/boxed goods for the Manna House Ministries food bank.  The two schools collecting the most food items per capita will receive an award from WoodmenLife Chapter 1770.  The first place school will receive $1000 and the second place school will receive $500.

  • lit night  BES will have a Fall Into Reading Literacy Night on Thursday, Nov. 9th from 5:30-7:30 p.m.  There will be a Book Swap, hay rides, a photo booth, guest readers, activities, and a hot dog dinner in the BES Cafeteria.  Come out and help us celebrate our love of Reading and fun!

  • Volunteer Training Online Module


    There is a mandatory online training module for all parents and visitors to BES.  If you plan on visiting BES for class parties, a field trip, or to volunteer at our school, you must complete the online training module.

    *You only need to complete the Mandated Reporting module that is listed under "Standard Modules".

    Upon completion of the module, enter your email address and click 'submit'.  You will then receive an email to confirm that you have completed the required module.  Please forward this email to our BES School Counselor Mrs. Erin Watson at ewatson@effingham.k12.ga.us.  Please include your child's name on the email.  If you have any questions please call Mrs. Watson, at 912-826-4200.


    Please remember that the Mandated Reporter training is required each year for anyone who wishes to volunteer at BES.  Thank you!

    A note from our Principal
    Blandford Elementary takes pride in its parent involvement program. Parents are frequently found volunteering in the classroom, with the AR program, in the media center, and in Book Fairs.
