    Each year through the Georgia Scholar program, the Georgia Department of Education identifies and honors high school seniors who have achieved excellence in school and community life.  The program is coordinated by the Department's Excellence Recognition Office and through local coordinators in each public school system and in private schools throughout the state.  Students eligible for Georgia Scholar recognition are high school seniors who have carried exemplary course loads during their four years of high school and have exhibited excellence in their communities and extracurricular activities. 

    Each Georgia Scholar receives a seal for his or her diploma.

    Information Meeting

    All students interested in dual enrollment at Savannah Technical College for the 2019-2020 school year should plan to attend this meeting. 

    Information about academic core classes and the many dual enrollment opportunities available at Savannah Tech will be presented. 

    Deans and representatives from Savannah Tech will be present to answer questions.





    Financial Aid Meeting

    Financial aid for college will be the focus of this meeting.  Helpful tips on completing the financial aid application will be provided.  Please make plans to attend!




    FAFSA Completion Night

    Parents and seniors will be able to complete the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid.  Be sure to bring your 2017 income tax documents with you.  A representative from the Georgia Student Finance Commission will be on campus to assist you with your online financial aid applications.




    21st Century Leaders


    Leadership Institutes

    Applications are now available online for the 21st Century Leaders Summer Leadership Institutes.  Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders may apply to attend one of the summer institutes.  The three summer leadership institutes provide training in business leadership, environmental sustainability, and hands-on experiences in the media industry.
