Retired Educators Scholarship for ECSD Educators
The Effingham County Retired Educators Association sponsors yearly scholarships to assist in furthering the education of prospective teachers and/or teachers already in the profession. These scholarships will be paid directly to the recipients to be used for tuition, books, travel expenses, room and board, etc.
To be eligible, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

The applicant must be a resident of Effingham County or be employed by the Effingham County Board of Education. An applicant living outside of the county for the purpose of attending college is eligible to apply.

The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited teacher education program at the undergraduate or graduate level.

An undergraduate applicant MUST be classified as a rising senior or a senior, and be enrolled in a program of teacher preparation.

A graduate applicant must be working toward a masters or educational specialist degree in education.

The applicant must establish a financial need for scholarship funds.

The applicant must complete the application form and attach ALL requested documents, including transcripts.
