Effingham County School District, in collaboration with Effingham Health System and Curtis V. Cooper Healthcare, Inc. (CVC), is proud to announce a new initiative designed to improve access to mental health services for your child.
We understand that behavioral health plays a vital role in a child’s overall development. By providing these services within the school setting and through local partnerships, we aim to reduce barriers to care, support academic success, and promote overall family wellness.
About the Program
The School-Based Behavioral Health Program allows students to connect with a dedicated care team—physicians, nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, and counselors—to support their emotional and behavioral well-being.
When children learn to identify, express, and manage their emotions, they are better able to focus, build positive relationships, and handle challenges. Addressing these needs early can prevent small concerns from becoming larger issues.
