Effingham CTAE Advisory Board Fall Dinner: Building Partnerships for Success
The Effingham CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education) Advisory Board recently hosted its Fall Dinner, bringing together business partners from various industries and our dedicated CTAE teachers. This annual event focuses on discussing industry trends and exploring ways to align our programs with workforce needs, ensuring students are well-prepared for future success while supporting the growth of our community.
One of the evening’s highlights was recognizing Mr. Brad Young, a valued ECSD Automotive Advisory Board member. For 30 years, Mr. Young has been a driving force behind the success of our automotive program, helping it grow and adapt to meet changing demands. He played a key role in planning and creating the advanced automotive lab at ECCA and supported the seamless transition of programs from the base high schools. His dedication has made a lasting impact on our students, teachers, and community. We deeply thank Mr. Young for his incredible commitment and service.
Dr. Yancy Ford, Superintendent of Effingham County Schools, was honored during the event. Dr. Ford, a former Business Education teacher, has been a lifelong advocate for CTAE programs. Under his leadership, Effingham County Schools have expanded their focus on equipping students with the skills and experiences needed for today’s workforce. His vision for strong partnerships and enhanced opportunities ensures that students thrive in the classroom and beyond.
The Fall Dinner was a testament to the power of collaboration between educators and industry leaders. Thank you to all who contribute to the continued success of our CTAE programs and help shape the future of Effingham County’s workforce.
