Effingham County School District Surpasses State Average with 94.2% Graduation Rate

The Effingham County School District is proud to announce a district graduation rate of 94.2%, once again outperforming the state average. The district's performance comes during a milestone year for Georgia education, as the state recorded a historic high average graduation rate of 88.5%.

Effingham County’s high schools continue to demonstrate strong academic performance and commitment to student achievement across the board:

  • South Effingham High School: 94.8%
  • Effingham County High School: 93.7%

This achievement reflects the dedication of educators, administrators, support staff, and families working together to support students from kindergarten through graduation.

Preparing Students for Life Beyond High School

Effingham County School District measures success not only by graduation numbers, but by how well graduates are prepared for their next stage in life. The district remains committed to supporting every student’s path—whether they transition directly into post-secondary education, step into the workforce, or serve in the military.

"We are immensely proud of all our students for reaching this milestone," said Dr. Yancy Ford, Superintendent of Effingham County Schools. "Outperforming the state average year after year is a testament to the hard work happening in our classrooms every day. Whether our graduates are enrolled, employed, or enlisted, our goal is to ensure they leave our district prepared to succeed and lead in their communities."
