Effingham County School District Named National Beta District of Distinction
District Achievement
National Beta proudly recognizes Effingham County School District as a 2025–2026 National Beta District of Distinction, an honor awarded to school districts that demonstrate a strong commitment to academic achievement, leadership development, and service engagement.
This distinction is reserved for districts in which every eligible school offers National Beta and actively inducts qualifying students in grades 4–12. Effingham County School District is among 95 outstanding school districts, representing 543 schools nationwide, to earn this prestigious recognition for the 2025–2026 school year.
With leadership from Superintendent Dr. Yancy Ford and support from club sponsors and Beta members, the Effingham County School District continues to build a culture where students are empowered to lead, serve, and excel. Their ongoing efforts reflect a district-wide commitment to developing well-rounded students prepared for success in college, careers, and their communities.
"Receiving the National Beta District of Distinction award is a testament to the hard work of our students and the support of our educators," said Dr. Yancy Ford, Superintendent of Effingham County Schools. "By ensuring every school in our district participates in National Beta, we are providing all students with a platform to develop the leadership skills and heart for service that will guide them long after they leave our classrooms."
This recognition highlights Effingham County School District’s focus on creating opportunities for students to grow academically while also building character and leadership skills through meaningful service. Across the district, Beta members exemplify the organization’s motto, Let Us Lead by Serving Others, in both their schools and communities.
As part of this achievement, the Effingham County School District will receive a National Beta District of Distinction award, which will be displayed at the district office. In addition, each participating school will receive recognition commemorating its contribution to this accomplishment.
