-

REACH (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen) Georgia is a needs-based scholarship program that begins in 8th grade. Each scholar commits to maintaining a 2.5 GPA in core courses, good attendance, and positive behavior throughout high school while staying drug- and alcohol-free. Scholars are paired with a mentor and academic coach to guide them through high school. Upon completing the program, they are awarded a $10,000 scholarship to a HOPE-eligible Georgia institution.
To qualify for the REACH Georgia program, students must meet rigorous standards, including financial need, academic achievement, good behavior, and demonstrated family support.
“We are so proud of these scholars for their hard work and dedication,” said Dr. Yancy J. Ford. “Their commitment to excellence reflects their potential and the incredible support they’ve received from parents, mentors, and teachers.”
The Effingham County School District extends appreciation to the parents, mentors, and academic coaches who play a vital role in these students' success. Your support has made this journey possible and ensures a brighter future for our scholars.
