Today, Effingham College and Career Academy (ECCA) proudly hosted a special signing ceremony in collaboration with Savannah Technical College to honor four exceptional students who are graduating and taking their next steps toward bright futures with Gulfstream Aerospace.
This milestone event celebrated the achievements of Ben Bothwell, Caleb Coburn, Immanuel Jackson, and Alex Smith, who successfully completed the Gulfstream Aviation Pathway through Savannah Tech’s dual enrollment program. These students have officially signed with Gulfstream, launching their careers in aviation with one of the world’s leading aerospace companies.
The ceremony was marked by inspiring words from several key leaders, including Jimmie Smith, Dean of Aviation Technology at Savannah Tech, and Jason Pollett, Director of Technical Skill Development at Gulfstream. They were joined by Dr. Yancy Ford, Superintendent of Effingham County School District (ECSD), and Todd Wall, CEO of ECCA, who all praised the students' hard work and highlighted the vital role of career and technical education.
“This is a testimony to the power of CTAE education and what can be accomplished when schools, technical colleges, and industry leaders come together to invest in students,” said Dr. Ford. “It reinforces our belief that learning is a shared responsibility—and that ECSD truly does make every moment count because every student matters.”
“Today’s celebration underscores the value of strong community partnerships and shows what’s possible when students are given the opportunity to align their education with real-world careers,” said Todd Wall. ECCA and ECSD congratulate Ben, Caleb, Immanuel, and Alex. We are proud of your accomplishments and can’t wait to see how far you soar! ✈️
