Each spring, the Effingham County School District recognizes exceptional educators by selecting a Teacher of the Year from each school. These outstanding individuals are nominated by their peers and chosen for their dedication to student learning, innovative teaching methods, and positive impact on their schools and communities.

 

Eligible teachers from these nominees compete for the Effingham County Teacher of the Year title. The Effingham County Teacher of the Year will go on to represent Effingham County in the Georgia Teacher of the Year competition and has the opportunity to advance and compete for the National Teacher of the Year title.

 

In addition to our incredible teachers, each school nominates a Support Staff candidate who they feel should be recognized for their hard work and dedication. These dedicated individuals play vital roles in our schools, supporting students and staff in countless ways. They are the unsung heroes who keep our schools running smoothly and ensure that our students have the best possible learning environment.
