Student Work Permits

Effective July 1, 2015, with the exception of minors in entertainment, work permits are no longer required for youth age 16 and older.

Students in need of a work permit MUST be in the stages of the hiring process with an employer before beginning the work permit application.

Please make sure you read the Minor Instructions for Online Work Permit Application.
The employer must complete the Employer's steps to the online work permit as well. 

After you complete this process, submit the 10 character MSK (Minor Security Key) to the school data clerk for processing.  During the summer, you can submit this key to Liz Wilson ( in our Central Office.
