Music is the vernacular of the human soul.Billy Joel
I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music.
Hal A. Lingerman

We are going to have a great year in music class!! Please feel free to call or e-mail if you have any questions or concerns!Bio-I grew up in Carrollton, Georgia with my parents and two brothers. I have always loved music. I began piano at the age of seven and was ALWAYS singing. While in high school, I was involved in choir and band playing percussion, trumpet and french horn. I also participated in Spirit of Atlanta, a drum and bugle corp. I attended the University of Georgia where I majored in and got a BA in music education. While at UGA, I was active in the piano studio, performed in the Women's Glee Club, UGA Concert Choir and played trumpet in the Redcoat Marching Band. I met my husband, Sean, in the Redcoats. We now live in Rincon with our wonderful boys- Alex and Patrick, our crazy pug, Miss. Stephanie, tortoise- Ginka and cats- Firestar and Thunder. I love spending time with my family, reading, running, shopping, going to the beach and of course MUSIC!!I not only work as the music teacher at Marlow but I am also a marching band music arranger for several area high schools (including South Effingham Marching Mustangs) and a staff member of the South Effingham High School Marching Mustang. My responsibility to the Marching Mustangs is teaching the front ensemble percussion.
