Mrs. Julie Elenbaas

Hi!  I am a native of Effingham County, graduating from E.C.H.S.  (Go Rebels!)  After high school, I attended Armstrong State University, earning my Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education in 2000.  I earned my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in June 2007.  I earned an endorsement in gifted education several years ago.   This is my 17th year teaching mathematics at E.M.S.  I was honored by my peers by being named Ebenezer's Teacher of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year.  I currently serve as the Mathematics Department Head at Ebenezer Middle.

I have a big, beautiful blended family.  My husband Pete and I have six boys between two of us:  Tyler, Austin, AJ, Avery, Dustin, and Ben.   Our family is growing!  I am being promoted to Mimi this year as our oldest son and his fiance will be having a baby boy to the family in January!  We are super excited!

I am excited about working at EMS with such a supportive group of administrators, staff, and parents.  I look forward to a wonderful new school year.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or comments that you may have.
