Purpose:  The Ebenezer Elementary School Council was established by the General Assembly of Georgia and the Effingham County Board of Education, in recognition of the need to improve communication and participation of parents and the community in the management and operation of local schools.

Responsibilities:  The school council is an advisory board.  The school council will provide advice and recommendations to the school principal, and where appropriate, the local board of education on any matter, including but not limited to, the following: school calendar, dress codes, school-community services, and community use of school facilities.

Meetings:  School council meetings will be held every month.

Agenda:  To submit topics for consideration on the monthly agenda, interested parties must contact a council member.  Three council members must approve the request.
