• Mr. Panter recently graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Georgia. As a class of 2021 graduate, he was honored with The Presidential Award of Excellence and was inducted into the Blue Key National Honor Society. While studying at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, he performed with the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and the Redcoat Marching Band. In addition to these ensembles, he has also performed with the UGA Trombone Choir, Repertory Singers, and University Philharmonia among other various chamber ensembles. He also served as the Orchestra Director for two collegiate musical theatre productions. As a student, Will served as a Hugh Hodgson School of Music Ambassador and the President of UGA’s Collegiate NAfME Chapter. 

    As a young educator, he has worked in different music settings including various practicums, marching band staffs, a music non-profit based out of Athens, and the UGA Summer Music Camps and Band Festivals. Apart from his musical involvement, Mr. Panter was also heavily involved with the UGA Center for Leadership and Service and Office of Student Transitions. He joined staff with the Dawg Camp Extended Orientation program in his first year and went on to serve as a Student Coordinator overseeing engagement, fundraising, and logistics. He was honored with the "Spirit of Dawg Camp" Award for his service in 2020.

    Currently, Mr. Panter lives in Savannah with his new puppy, Scout!  He regularly works as a Drum Major instructor and Leadership Development consultant with various schools across the state. He also works with the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program during the summer and has served as both a Guest Instructor and Residential Assistant. He is so excited to be a part of the South Effingham Middle School family!
