Hi! My name is Ashleigh McClune. I am excited to be joining the 3rd grade team as a Special Education Resource teacher. I am a former student of Sand Hill and I’m happy to be able to come back full circle and teach here. I know this will be an awesome school year!
This will be my 12th year teaching. I have previously taught Special Education at Blandford Elementary for 3 years and in Chatham County schools for 8 years. I graduated from Toccoa Falls College with my Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling Psychology in 2007, and from Armstrong Atlantic State University with my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2013.
My husband, Matt, and I have been married for 9 years and have three boys. Connor will be in 1st grade and Daniel will be in PreK this year at Sand Hill. Our newborn, Owen, was born in May this year. We also have an 8-year-old black Lab named Lucy and two hamsters named Minnie and Daisy. In my free time, I love to read, go on trips, and spend time with friends and family.
