About Me
Although this is my first year at South Effingham High School, tThis is my 25th year as an educator! I can hardly believe it. I taught for 23 of those 25 years in Fulton County. I graduated from college with a B.S. in Mathematics with plans to pursue a Master's Degree. I decided instead to follow my heart and pursue my dream of teaching high school Mathematics. Geometry is my FAVORITE subject to teach by far.
In addition to teaching, I have coached many sports including basketball, softball, soccer, golf and most recently volleyball. I was the varisty volleyball coach at my last high school and ended my career with over 300 wins in 8 years. I retired from coaching to spend more time with my daughter.
My husband Pete and I have a 4 year old daughter named Ceci Grace. She will be a Mini Mustang this year attending Pre-K. We are beyond excited that all three of us will be in the same school. We can't wait to immerse ourselves in the Mustang culture!
We LOVE to go to the beach. My husband and I are also avid golfers, in as much as you still can be with a 4 year old. Hopefully she will soon be joining us on the links. I also love to read, do crossword puzzles and yes, even binge our favorite shows. Currently we are rewatching The Office for about the 15th time and Parks and Rec as we await the release of new seasons of some of other favorites.
After one minute in my classroom you will also realize that I am quite the fan of Snoopy. He is, in my opinion, the coolest animated character of all time bar none. :)
I truly look forward to getting to know all of my students! It's going to be a great year!
