Step-by-Step Directions

• Turn on the Chromebook
  
  
• Open a new Chrome Tab
  
  
• In the Omnibox, at the top, type the following and press the enter key:
• chrome://settings/help

• When your Chromebook downloads a software update, near your account photo, look for Update 
  
  
• To finish the update, select Update  Restart to Update
  
  
  
• The Chromebook will restart.

To shut down your Chromebook manually, click the shutdown icon in the lower right corner (see below)
