Bachelor of Science in Biology
Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Science
Physical Science Teacher, ECHS
Hello! I am Brianna Plachy and I am excited to be a part of Effingham County High School for a second year. This is my sixth year of teaching and I will be teaching Physical Science. I have previously taught in other counties and have taught a myriad of sciences which include Biology, Physical Science, Oceanography, Chemistry, and Forensic Science. I have also student-taught Anatomy and Phsyiology. I graduated from Amstrong State University with a B.S. in Biology and an M.A.T. in Secondary Science. I was part of the Noyce Scholarship Program while completing my Master's Degree and am Gifted Certified. I am excited to work with your student and am looking forward to a successful (virtual) year ahead!

Here are some guidelines for etiquette for the Google Meetings:
- Mute your microphone
- Follow the dress code
- Chat is for the lesson only
- No profanity will be tolerated
- No earbuds
- Use your given name, not an alias or nickname
- Use your school account
Office Hours are offered every Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:30 by sign-up only. A Google Form will be posted in Classroom prior to the tutorial day and will need to be filled out by noon by tutorial day. Voluntary tutorials are typically held every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:30 to 10:00 am. I realize this conflicts with 1st and 2nd period and students are only asked to attend these IF they are not meeting and are caught up in those classes.
You may email me at "firstname.lastname@example.org". If you email me from 8:30 to 3:30 from Monday to Friday, I am typically quick in responding between those hours. I will not respond outside of those hours or on weekends. Please include name and class period of student in the email as this makes it easier to respond! Please check your Infinite Campus emails regularly as this is how I will typically send out any communication.
Please check Infinite Campus. Google Classroom only shows progress.
