Hello! My name is Miss Kemmerly and I am so excited to be joining the 2nd grade team at Sandhill Elementary this year!
Just to tell you a little bit about myself:
I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I come from a large family of 7 where I was the second youngest out of 5 girls. I know what you're thinking, "My poor dad!". Trust me, we hear it all the time! I had an amazing childhood and family means everything to me. My parents now live in Palm Coast, Florida and this is where I spend most of my vacation time. I love the beach and I love seafood! Some of my other favorites include: the color yellow, playing with my puppy, and watching movies! My favorite subjects would have to be science and math, I love the hands on activities/experiments. I feel as though they are what makes learning FUN!
After high school, I moved down to Statesboro, Georgia where I pursued my career in Early Childhood Education at Georgia Southern University. I am still attending GSU as I work towards obtaining my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Go Eagles!
I chose to pursue my career in Early childhood Education because I have always had a passion for teaching and working with children. Whether it was babysitting, Summer camps, or helping out at local church events, I always wanted to be involved and be a role model for the younger generation. I can truly say I have loved every part of the journey I took to be where I am today and my students will always have a special place in my heart.
I can not wait to kick off the school year and meet all of my wonderful second grade kiddos! I look forward to a year full of fun, LOTS of learning, and new adventures!
