My name is Marie Zettler. This is my seventh year teaching at Ebenezer Middle School. I was a paraprofessional at EMS during the 2013-2014 school year. I am very passionate about sports. During the 2013-2014 school year, I coached softball and assisted in boy's basketball and baseball. From 2013-2016, I was an assistant softball coach at Georgia Southern University.  After rejoining Ebenezer Middle school in 2016, I coached volleyball, girls soccer, and softball before I moved into my new role as the Athletic Director.  I'm in my third year as the Athletic Director at EMS. 

Education: I attended Georgia Southern University, earning my BA degree in Middle Grades Education (2013). While at Georgia Southern, I played for the university's softball team. I completed my Master's Degree in Science Education at the University of Georgia. (2021) Currently working on my Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership at Thomas University. 

Personal life: I grew up in Effingham County, graduating from ECHS in 2008. My parents, Jeremy and Sonja Fogle, still reside in Effingham County. I have two younger brothers, Ryan, who graduated from ECHS in 2012, and Garrett, who graduated from Portal High in 2020. I married my soulmate, Matt Zettler, in November 2016. We have a little girl named Teagan who joined our family in March 2018 and a little boy named Landon who joined in April 2021. We are huge UGA and Atlanta Braves fans.
