Welcome to Effingham College & Career Academy (ECCA)!

ECCA’s mission since opening in August 2010 is:

To create a high tech career focus to better serve our students’ needs for those entering directly into the workforce from high school and those planning further postsecondary options.

ECCA is a 9-12 grade charter program school authorized by the Effingham County Board of Education. ECCA is located on the Effingham Industrial Development Authority’s workforce development campus at 2940 Highway 21 South, Rincon, GA 31326, near Savannah.

Students from both high schools may attend ECCA classes and earn professional certifications and industry credentials for careers in Automotive Maintenance & Repair, Culinary Arts, Nursing, Allied Health, Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Web Design, and Logistics. New in August 2016 are STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) classes open to a cohort of 125 ninth grade students and 125 tenth grade students.  ECCA earned SACS AdvancED global accreditation in 2015.

ECCA is governed by a Board of Directors of key business professionals from industries employing students with skills learned at ECCA, high school and postsecondary educators, and parents and students. Please visit the ECCA Board of Directors page listing the Board members.

Work ethics are highly valued in society and with all employers.  Students learn work ethic skills within each class. Twenty percent of class grades are work ethic measures.

Many work based learning and internship opportunities exist for ECCA students within our community and region. ECCA staff work closely with the work based learning coordinators at each high school to place students interested in those opportunities.

Move On When Ready (MOWR) dual enrollment students may earn college and high school graduation credits in several classes such as Aircraft Assembly, Welding, Law Enforcement, Cosmetology, and numerous academic classes.

ECCA hosts many professional training, education and community events. Contact us if your business or organization is interested in ECCA meeting rooms.
