Welcome to 2021-2022 school year!

My name is Mirela White and I am a new Reading Recovery teacher at Sand Hill Elementary. I have been teaching for 18 years and I can't wait to see what this new school year is going to bring! It is very rewarding to teach children how to read and write. I feel that I get to make a difference in their lives.

I was born and raised in Romania, a small and beautiful Eastern European country. My family still lives there and I get to go visit them during summer breaks. My husband and I have two daughters and we love traveling and discovering the world through their eyes.
