    Foundations of Engineering

During the Foundations of Engineering, you will learn the basics of what it takes to be an Engineer. We will learn the Engineering Design Process, the basics of different types of sketching, basic 3D modeling and Computer Aided Designing (CAD) skills, measurement and conversions, geometry, and design to solve all manner of different problems.

    Engineering Concepts

During the Engineering Concepts course is where Math and Science truly hit home, many aspects of this course are run like a physics course. We will learn about simple machines and mechanical advantage, energy and power generation, electronics basics, pneumatics, hydraulics, statistics, and kinematics. We will use your skills in Geometry and Trigonometry to solve problems involving the movement of objects as well as bridge analysis. We will construct and program robots to perform various tasks and operations.

    Engineering Applications

During the Engineering Applications course, students will apply their knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to develop solutions to technological problems. Solutions will be developed using a combination of engineering software and prototype production processes. Students will use market research, cost-benefit analysis, and an understanding of the design cycle to create and present design, marketing, and business plans for their solutions. A capstone project will allow students to demonstrate their depth of knowledge of the engineering design process and prepare them for future opportunities in the field of engineering. The prerequisite for this course is Engineering Concepts
