Pre-K Drawing for 2020-2021

  • In order to protect the privacy of families in our district, we will not publicize the  pre-k drawing or publish a list of student names. Once the drawing is held, parents will be notified of their child's position on the pre-k list.  Parents will receive an email, phone call and letter with the results of the drawing. At this time, we are planning for 25 classes with 22 students per class. At this time, we have not been told of reductions in the number of classes or class size related to Covid-19.  We will maintain the names of students in the order that they are drawn from the box. This ordered list will be used to fill the open seats and build the waitlist.  Again, you will receive notification of your child's position on the list.  Thank you for your patience as we work through this  "Covid 19" registration process.  Please contact me if you have any questions.

Update: 5/21/20: The drawing was held on 5/20/20. At this point, you should have received an email and phone call with drawing results for your child(ren). You will also receive a letter in the mail indicating that your child's name has been placed on a school roster or waitlist. As many of you know, prior to Covid-19, we requested one additional class for our county. Unfortunately, the pandemic has delayed state budget approvals and created the need for state agencies to cut a certain percentage of money from their budget.  At this point, no additional classes will be added to any current program. We will continue to monitor this process.

If you have not received communication about the drawing held on 5/20/20, please contact our office at (912) 754-5677 or Central Registration at (912) 754-6491.

    Thank you,

    Terri Johnson
