Section 504
The Effingham County School District (ECSD) is committed to supporting the needs of all students, including those with disabilities. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is a federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.
ECSD is committed to working with parents and students to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
Announcements
In Georgia, for children, ages 3 through 21, the Effingham County School System is responsible for identifying, locating, and evaluating all children within the jurisdiction of the school system who are suspected of having disabilities that may result in a need for special education and related services.
