Athletics
Welcome To ECSD Athletics
We are proud to serve the students of Effingham County and appreciate the support from our community. Our coaches, staff, and families are committed to developing student-athletes of character, discipline, and integrity—both on and off the field.
Effingham County offers 15 high school sports and 12 middle school sports. Each team competes under the Georgia High School Association (GHSA), and all athletes must have a current physical and meet academic eligibility requirements to participate.
Athletics are a privilege, and we expect our student-athletes to maintain high standards in both academics and sportsmanship. Participation in athletics should never interfere with academic progress, and playing time is earned based on the coach’s discretion.
Our programs are funded through gate receipts and booster club efforts. Thank you for supporting our student-athletes, and we look forward to seeing you at the games!
