The Summer Meal Program provides free meals to children and teens, 18 years old and younger when school is out for summer. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by state and local agencies.
Meals are served at a variety of sites in communities, including schools, parks, recreation centers, and libraries. All children and teens are eligible to receive free meals through the Summer Meal Program, regardless of income or household size. There is no need to apply or register for the program.
To find a Summer Meal Program site near you, visit the USDA's Summer Meals Site Finder. The site finder will be updated with 2024 Summer Meal Program sites in early May 2024.
