E-SPLOST and Effingham County
Effingham County Is Growing—and So Are We
If you’re a parent in Effingham County, you already know: this is a place people want to be. Safe neighborhoods. Strong schools. A close-knit, supportive community. For many families, Effingham is more than a place to live—it’s where they’ve chosen to raise their children. As our county grows, so does our school district, with one shared goal: ensuring every child thrives.
Coming Soon: Creekside Elementary
We’re especially excited about Creekside Elementary, our newest school, scheduled to open in Fall 2026 which is being funded by E-SPLOST. Located on Blue Jay Road, it will help relieve capacity at our current elementary schools. As we prepare for this addition, families can expect transparent conversations about redistricting, with numerous opportunities to provide feedback and participate in the planning process.
Projects for Students & Community
We’re also proud of two completed projects that enhance opportunities for both students and the broader community: the renovation of the Hereford House and the development of the Honey Ridge Arena. These state-of-the-art facilities provide space for agricultural education, events, and hands-on learning experiences that benefit students across all grade levels.
