District Accreditation

On March 6, 2026, the Effingham County School District earned system-wide accreditation after undergoing a rigorous review process with Cognia (formerly AdvancED). Cognia is a non-profit, international accrediting agency that works with Pre-K through grade 12 schools to improve learning, teaching, and leadership through on-site and virtual reviews.

The Effingham County School District is proud to maintain full accreditation status for the next six years (through 3031-3032). The accreditation review provided aligned and proven pathways for addressing challenges and supporting district and school leaders, teachers, and stakeholders.
