• Helping Your Child Succeed

You can help your child have a successful year by reading to/with him or her.  Talk about the story afterwards.   Talk with your child and listen to him/her.  They may surprise you by what they know.  Practice  skills taught in class by applying them to real life situations for example, if the class is working on fractions use a pizza, cake, cookie, anything that can be cut and divide into separate parts to reinforce that concept.  Drill and practice addition/subtraction/multiplication facts and sight words.   Make it a game.  There are many websites with games for drill and practice also.  The more involved that you are in your child's education the more successful your child will be in class.  Have fun with it!!!!  Ready, set, go!!!!!
