                                                               My family
Hi!  My name is Beth Dickey and this is my 17th year teaching.  I have taught second grade for 13 years and this will be my fourth year teaching fourth grade.  I graduated right here in Effingham County from ECHS in 1999.  I then attended Georgia Southern University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2003.  While teaching, I earned my masters degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern University in 2008.
I've been married to Scott Dickey for 16 years and we have two sons.  My older son, Zachary, is in 9th grade this year. My younger son is in 4th grade.  The picture above is my favorite family photo, even though my kids are a lot older now.
I am a crazy animal lover.  My family has three dogs and two cats.  I have a chocolate lab named Lacie.  She weighs in at almost 100 pounds!  My smallest dog is a jack russell named Popper.  Her name is very fitting because she pops up and down all the time.  My youngest dog is a boykin spanial named Carly.  She has curly hair so we call her Curly Carly!  My cats are brother and sister.  Clover and Patty were adopted from the RUFF program in Rincon.  They love to climb trees and play with the chickens.  Yes, we have chickens, many of them, and they give us farm fresh eggs!  We also have three goats.  We love our little farm life!
