Dress Down & Costume Day Policies

  • Dress Code for Dress Down Days

    • Be sure to refer to the student handbook for dress-down guidelines. Shorts must be no shorter than 5 inches above the fold of the knee. 
    • There may NOT be any writing on the rear end of the pants or torn/ripped/frayed clothing.
    • Knit or spandex pants, leggings, jogging, exercise/yoga, cargo pants or shorts, and pajamas are prohibited.
    • Tops must have sleeves; you may NOT wear a tank top-style top.
    • Proper footwear is required, and no open-toed shoes.

    Dress Code for Costumes (including Halloween)

    • Students must be in costume when they arrive at school.
    • No masks or excessive make-up. (make-up must be applied at home before school).
    • No violent or bloody costumes.
    • No accessories deemed dangerous or similar to weapons of any kind.
    • No guns, swords, etc…
    • Please wear appropriate clothing under the costume.
    • Please wear appropriate shoes (tennis shoes/close-toed) with the costume. 

    Students will be asked to change if these guidelines are not followed. There will be no exceptions!
    DRESSING DOWN/WEARING A COSTUME IS A PRIVILEGE!
