Mr. Smith is the SES Media Specialist.  He graduated from the Savannah College of Art & Design in 2006, and has received his MEd from Armstrong Atlantic State University (2008) and EdS from Auburn University in 2019.  He began teaching in Savannah Chatham County Public Schools in 2006. He worked in SCCPSS for 11 years at West Chatham Elementary and Gould Elementary. In 2017, he transferred to Springfield Elementary.  There he worked as a 4th grade teacher and STEM Lab teacher before being selected as the Media Specialist.  Mr. Smith is certified in K-12 Media/Instructional Technology, K-5 Gifted Education, and K-12 Computer Science Education. He is also a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Lead Teacher and helped SES become a PLTW Distinguished School in 2019-20.  

 

Mr. Smith is married to his wife, Jessica, who is also a teacher at Springfield Elementary.  They have one child, Grace, who attends SES as well.
