- In the corner of your screen, select the Launcher

- Open Camera
. Then, on the right side, choose an option:
- Select Photo

- Select Video
Start recording

- Select Square

- Select Photo
Change how photos or videos are captured
- Change your settings: Select Settings
. Change the size of the grid, the length of the timer, or the camera resolution.
- Flip your photo from left to right: Select Mirror
.
- Use gridlines to straighten photos: Select Grid
.
- Switch between cameras: At the left, select Switch camera
. Tip: You can only switch cameras if you plug in an external camera or your Chromebook has 2 built-in cameras.
- Take photos with a timer: Select Timer
.
- Take photos with the volume buttons: When your Chromebook is in tablet mode, you can press the up or down volume button to take a photo. Learn more about tablet mode.

What if your school email account is not on your phone
- Email the photo(s) of your written work to your school email account.
- On the chromebook, open your school email and save images to your drive.
- Now find the assignment in the classroom and select ‘+ add or create’, select Google Drive, and attach the images from your drive.
- Submit your assignment.

Submit your work as a PDF with your phone - Android
- Open the Google Drive app on your phone.
- In the bottom right, tap ‘add’.
- Tap ‘scan’.
- Take a photo of the document you’d like to scan. If you have more than one, then select the + button in the bottom of the app.
- After all documents have been scanned, tap the check box and press ‘save’.
- Rename the document. Click ‘save’.
- You should receive a message that your file is being added to your drive.
- Open the Google Classroom App to submit the PDF from your phone to the assignment.
- If you do not have the Google Classroom app on your phone, then you will need to email it to your student email account to submit to Google Classroom.

Submit your work as a PDF with your phone - iPhone
- Use the Notes app on your iPhone or iPad
- Create a new note and tap the camera button in the menu at the bottom.
- Select ‘scan documents’
- Position the document in view. If it doesn’t take the picture automatically, then press the shutter button. May need to adjust.
- If more than one page, position your phone over the second page for a second image. This app will combine all images into one PDF file so that each image does not have to be submitted individually.
- If this is the last page, press ‘save’ then ‘done’.
- Now click the share button in the top right corner.
- If you have the Google Classroom app on your phone, then you should see the app listed for sharing which will allow you to attach the PDF to the assignment and submit. If not, then you will need to email it to your school account from your phone email.
