• High School

    • In the high school Virtual Learning Option (VLO), teachers must take attendance by period on the day the student receives direct instruction for that class (A-day versus B-day).  On the A-day schedule, the teachers will post attendance for 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th periods. On the B-day schedule, the teachers will post attendance for the 2nd, 4th, and 6th periods. If you are a STEM Academy student, zero period is considered a B-day course.
    • The teacher will post the following question in Google Classroom every morning by 8:30 AM to all students in their class: "Are you here today?".
    • Students will be marked absent if they have not responded to the attendance question by 3:30 PM.
    • If students in VLO miss a class due to illness, doctor’s appointments, etc., the excuse needs to be sent electronically to virtual.attendance@effingham.k12.ga.us.
