• Hello!

Greetings! My name is Monica James and I'm thrilled to say this is my 10th year of teaching and I'm extremely excited to begin my first year at ECHS. I grew up in Pembroke, Georgia and attended Bryan County High School. I graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University with a Bachelor's degree, Columbus State University with a Master's and Specialist degree. I began my teaching career in Troup County School System and was employed at Long Cane Middle School for nine years.  My teaching certifications include Physical Education, Middle Grades Science (7th) and Educational Leadership. This year, I will be working with the Special Education department and coaching the girls basketball team.

I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I will assist my students to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well embrace the differences of others.

I'm looking forward to another successful school year!!
