Hello Eagle Family,

I am Sara Huntley; I am honored and privileged to serve as assistant principal at Ebenezer Elementary!

I want to share a little about myself. My husband Matt is a fellow educator, and we have two children, Elisabeth and John Matthew. I have my bachelor's, master's of education, and education specialist degrees from Georgia Southern University. I began my teaching career in 2006 at Effingham County High School. In 2019, I began teaching at Effingham College and Career Academy. In 2022, I became the assistant principal at Ebenezer Elementary and completed the Effingham County Aspiring Leaders Program. I have experience teaching collaborative through advanced placement courses and love being an educator! I was recognized as the Effingham County High School STAR Teacher and the Effingham County STAR Teacher in 2013 and 2021. I believe in the ECSD's mission: make every moment count because every student matters!

Since I was a small child, I have known I wanted to be a teacher. I am thrilled to work with all students and staff at Ebenezer Elementary to ensure student engagement for success,  set high expectations, acknowledge that learning is a shared responsibility, support the education of the whole child, employ a positive and caring staff, create a safe learning environment, and recognize that everyone should be treated with respect. This year our Ebenezer Eagles will work to be CHAMPS: curious, hardworking, adaptable, motivated, persistent, and successful! Our students will also SOAR by being respectful, responsible, and safe!

This year is going to be a fantastic year at Ebenezer Elementary. The teachers, students, and families of Ebenezer Elementary are the best this county has to offer, and together, we will continue the tradition of excellence! Go Eagles!
