• Newton Fractal I am an immigrant from South Korea, and currently a proud citizen of U.S.  I earned my Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science in 1994 from Kangwon National University in South Korea. Then I earned my Master's degree in Mathematics in 2005 from the University of Georgia.  My master's thesis was on Fractals from Newton's Method. After my graduate work, I moved to Savannah GA and began my teaching career teaching mathematics at Savannah Technical College.  From 2007 to 2018, I worked as a mathematics teacher in Jenkins High School, Savannah GA.  While I was in Jenkins High School, I enjoyed serving as the director of Math Club all those years and had a privilege of being part of the main task force of Jenkins' successful STEM certification. I am very excited to continue teaching mathematics at ECCA.
