• Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade parents:

Your child is working on the Lexia program.    Look for the progress reports to be sent home with your child.    This progress reports will show you where they are struggling, and areas they excel.   Email or call me if you have any questions about the progress reports or want to learn more about Lexia.   I am really excited about this program and how it will help our students to fill in any learning gaps and master new content.

Look for Lexia Certificates to come home as your child masters each level.  These certificates will tell you more about skills your child has mastered and will give you some great ideas for conversations about what they are learning in class!

Conversation starters:   How many sounds are in the word ______________?   Can you clap out the syllables for the word ________________?   What did you work on in Lexia today?

    3rd 4th and 5th grade parents:

Your child is working on Academic Vocabulary Toolkit.   Ask your child about the word of the week.   The words in Academic Vocabulary Toolkit are specifically chosen because they will be useful in a variety of academic classes.
