Hello All! I am so excited about teaching in Effingham County! I will be working as a Special Education Teacher in the Math Department. I began my college career at Georgia Southern University, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. From there, I went on to attend Armstrong Atlantic State University, where I earned a Master’s degree in Special Education. I later returned to Georgia Southern University to earn a Specialist degree in Teaching and Learning and then moved on to complete a Doctorate of Education degree from Kennesaw State University in Teacher Leadership. During my tenure as a teacher, I have gained experience in a variety of roles. I served as a Special Education teacher for about 5 years being a Co-Teacher and Resource Teacher. As a Special Education Co-Teacher, I taught High School Study Skills, 4th grade Math, Science and Social studies; 5th grade Reading, Science, and Social Studies; and 6th grade Math. During this time, I also gained leadership experience as the Special Education Lead Learner and Grade Level Chair. Later I began teaching in the General Education Curriculum in 3rd grade Math. To advance my teaching abilities, I have worked to add Gifted and ESOL endorsements to my teaching credentials.

As a teacher, I am always looking for the challenge to make learning relevant and exciting for my students. I bring with me, years of teaching experience, the passion for knowledge, and a drive to never quit.
