I love learning! And being a teacher is more than a job to me; it's a calling that has been answered by five generations in my family. I am currently in my 24th year of education, and I cannot think of anything else I would rather do than guide students towards making this world a better place than it was yesterday!
Before joining the Effingham County High School English Department four years ago, I spent time in Liberty County, Baldwin County, Pelham City Schools, Bacon County, Montgomery County, and Chatham County teaching English, as well as social science, classes at all levels in grades 6-12. In addition to being a coach's wife, I have coached tennis and cheerleading, and I am currently coaching ECHS Cross Country.
I am celebrating 27 years with Coach Phillip Richards this year. We have three children and three grandchildren. I have degrees from Brewton-Parker College, Georgia Southern University, University of Georgia, and Albany State Univeristy. I enjoy photography and great stories.
