“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
As a native of Effingham County and a 2005 graduate of South Effingham High School, I love my community. I am thankful that I get to serve my hometown each and every day in an effort to honor our past achievements and strive towards future successes as a county. I believe in the values and ideals that our community and school system work to foster and promote each day. I am thankful to God for the opportunity to come back home and work in the Effingham County School District.
After earning a Bachelors’ degree in History and a Masters in Education I began my teaching career as a high school social studies teacher. I taught for five years before earning an Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership and moving into the role of Assistant Principal. In 2016 I had the opportunity to move my career back “home” to Effingham County and have been, “living the legend” ever since!
Once a MUSTANG, always a MUSTANG!
