Getting to Know Mr. Brown...
Hello and welcome to the ESOL page at Blandford Elementary School in Rincon, GA. My name is Timothy Brown and I am the ESOL teacher. I am originally from Ohio and moved to Georgia thirteen years ago. I have fourteen years of teaching experience, four years as the ESOL teacher at Blandford, six years as the ESOL teacher and four years as a kindergarten teacher at Port Wentworth Elementary in the Savannah-Chatham County School District. I was selected as the Teacher of the year for Port Wentworth Elementary School in 2010. I graduated from Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio in 2006 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education. In 2012, I received my Master’s Degree of Elementary Education from Armstrong University in Savannah, Georgia.
I got married in 2009 to my wife Brenda, who is also a teacher in Effingham County. We have two young sons. The oldest is eight and the youngest is four. I enjoy watching sports, (especially college football University of Michigan/Go Blue!), hunting, fishing, playing with my sons and taking trips with my family.
I am excited to work at Blandford Elementary School this school year and look forward to meeting all the wonderful ESOL families throughout the school year.
