A parent email address is requested on the Art Club Permission slip. Mrs. Gerow will use email for important announcements regarding club information such as meeting times, upcoming events, ongoing projects and any materials that your student should bring to art club.

Participation in this club is voluntary.  At any time a student may choose to no longer participate. Students may also be dismissed for behavior or absences. If this decision is made, the parent will be contacted, the student will be removed from the roster, and a replacement person will be chosen from the waiting list.

Students will be working to create special art projects or team designs. Due to limited meeting time, students will occasionally be asked to create something as homework or bring something to the following art club.

Please arrive on time and with appropriate supplies. Upon arriving in the art room, enter quietly and sign the roster.  Attendance will be checked each meeting. If you do miss art club, please bring your excuse to the art room upon returning to school.  After three unexcused absences, you will be dismissed from the club.

    Behavior Policy

Participating in Art Club is a privilege. Students should conduct themself as an “Art Star” wherever you are in the school or at school functions. “Art Stars” are Respectful, Responsible and Imaginative! Take pride in yourself & your Artwork!  Serious behavior infractions or repeated disruptions are grounds for dismissal from the club.

     Art Club T-Shirt

Student’s first task will be to design a logo to represent their club. They will vote for the best logo and Mrs. Gerow will create a silk screen to print the logo. Please send a white cotton shirt (t-shirt or polo) to tie-dye and screen print, deadline to bring shirt will be announced. These shirts are dress code complaint and may be worn as acceptable uniform shirts.
