Lynda HillI am looking forward to another great school year! This year I am teaching Honors Algebra II, Pre-calculus and AP Statistics.I taught in Utah, Pennsylvania, Savannah, and South Carolina before moving to Effingham County. I taught at ECHS for 19 years. While I was at ECHS, I helped out with the after-school tutoring program as well as summer school and High School Graduation test review sessions. I have also co-sponsored the Beta Club at ECHS. This is my second year working at the STEM Academy.I attended public schools in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. After graduating from high school, I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education. After I moved to Effingham County, I continued my education by attending Georgia Southern University, where I earned a Master's and Education Specialist degree in Mathematics Education. In November 2007, I achieved National Board Certification. Like board-certified doctors and accountants, teachers who achieve National Board Certification have met rigorous standards through intensive study, expert evaluation, self-assessment and peer review. In 2012, I earned Gifted Certification, and in 2015 I became certified to teach AP Statistics.I have been married for 26 years and have one daughter, Maggie, who attends the Stem Academy.
