Hi!  My name is Tricia Kerr. I am the Effingham County Preschool Inverntion Community Teacher as well as the Sand Hill Elementry Special Education Teacher.   I have been teaching since 2006, and this is my seventh year serving Effingham County Schools.  For the last six years, I have been a behavior support teacher at Sand Hill, and I am excited to take on a new challenge this year. I know that the 2019-2020 school year was not what anyone expected, but I am excited to see what the 2020-2021 school year will bring.

I have had the opportunity to teach in several places.  I started my career in my hometown of Altoona, Pennsylvania.  Five years later, I moved to Killeen, Texas to teach in the Fort Hood Area. Now, I  have the wonderful opportunity to teach in Effingham, Georgia!

My education started at Penn State University, where I earned a Bachelors degree in Special Education.  I then earned a Masters degree in Education from Saint Francis University.  I am also a certified Autism specialist.

I am a very proud mommy to Harper May who attends at Sand Hill, as well.

I love working with children and feel so rewarded watching them achieve success.  I hope to teach all of my students to work hard and always be kind.
